Odd-frequency pair density wave correlations in underdoped cuprates

چکیده
Pair density waves, identified by Cooper pairs with finite center-of-mass momentum, have recently been observed in copper oxide based high T$_\textrm{c}$ superconductors (cuprates). A charge modulation or wave is also ubiquitously found underdoped cuprates. Within a general mean-field one-band model we show that the coexistence of waves and uniform superconductivity $d$-wave like cuprates, generates an odd-frequency spin-singlet pair wave, addition to even-frequency counterparts. The strength induced depends on vector even becoming comparable ones parts Brillouin zone. We change from bi-axial uni-axial, can enhance component waves. Such uni-axial has already experimentally verified at magnetic fields further discuss possibility spin-triplet generated regime spin applicable iron-based superconductors. Our work thus presents route bulk T$_c$

Coexistence of charge-density-wave and pair-density-wave orders in underdoped cuprates.
We analyze incommensurate charge-density-wave (CDW) and pair-density-wave (PDW) orders with transferred momenta (±Q,0)/(0,±Q) in underdoped cuprates within the spin-fermion model. Both orders appear due to an exchange of spin fluctuations before magnetic order develops. We argue that the ordered state with the lowest energy has nonzero CDW and PDW components with the same momentum. Such a state...
متن کاملCompetition Between Spin Density Wave Order and Superconductivity in the Underdoped Cuprates
We describe the interplay between d-wave superconductivity and spin density wave (SDW) order in a theory of the hole-doped cuprates at hole densities below optimal doping. The theory assumes local SDW order, and associated electron and hole pocket Fermi surfaces of charge carriers in the normal state. We describe quantum and thermal fluctuations in the orientation of the local SDW order, which ...
متن کاملDirect phase-sensitive identification of a d-form factor density wave in underdoped cuprates.
The identity of the fundamental broken symmetry (if any) in the underdoped cuprates is unresolved. However, evidence has been accumulating that this state may be an unconventional density wave. Here we carry out site-specific measurements within each CuO2 unit cell, segregating the results into three separate electronic structure images containing only the Cu sites [Cu(r)] and only the x/y axis...
متن کاملPair-density-wave correlations in the Kondo-Heisenberg model.
We show, using density-matrix renormalization-group calculations complemented by field-theoretic arguments, that the spin-gapped phase of the one dimensional Kondo-Heisenberg model exhibits quasi-long-range superconducting correlations only at a nonzero momentum. The local correlations in this phase resemble those of the pair-density-wave state which was recently proposed to describe the phenom...
متن کاملTheory of underdoped cuprates.
We develop a slave-boson theory for the t-J model at finite doping which respect a SU(2) symmetry – a symmetry previously known to be important at half filling. The mean field phase diagram is found to be consistent with the phases observed in the cuprate superconductors, which contains d-wave superconductor, spin gap, strange metal, and Fermi liquid phases. The spin gap phase is best understoo...
